There are many reasons why it is important to protect the identity of special needs children. Some of these reasons include:

• To prevent them from being targeted by predators. Special needs children are often more vulnerable to exploitation and abuse than other children. They may be more trusting of strangers, and they may have difficulty communicating or defending themselves. By protecting their identity, we can help to keep them safe from harm.
